SANTIAGO, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Forwards Alexander Aravena and Felipe Mora have been recalled to Chile's squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Venezuela, the Chilean football federation said on Friday.
Aravena, who plays his club football for Brazil's Gremio, has nine Chile caps but has not represented his country since November last year.
Portland Timbers striker Mora, meanwhile, last played for La Roja in October 2021.
But there was no place in the 25-man squad for veterans Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez as manager Ricard Gareca continues to promote younger players.
Chile will play Peru in Lima on November 15 and Venezuela in Santiago four days later.
La Roja is currently last in the 10-team South American group standings with just one win from 10 qualifiers so far.
