KABUL, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have implemented and put into operation about 355 water check dam projects across the country since March 2023, a statement of the Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Office said Saturday.
According to the statement, 138 projects have been implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, 117 projects by the Ministry of Water and Energy, and another 100 projects by the Ministry of Rural Development and Rehabilitation.
The Afghan caretaker government has planned to launch more development and infrastructure projects across the war-ravaged country to tackle economic challenges and create job opportunities. ■
