NEW YORK, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted 68 km S of Panguna, Papua New Guinea, at 17:46:28 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 50.6 km, was initially determined to be at 6.94 degrees south latitude and 155.44 degrees east longitude. ■
