NEW YORK, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted Solomon Islands at 17:46:25 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 6.86 degrees south latitude and 155.37 degrees east longitude. ■
