BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Finnish President Alexander Stubb will pay an official visit to China from Oct. 28 to 31.
Born on April 1, 1968, Stubb graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has served in various positions including the Finnish foreign minister, minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade of Finland, prime minister, deputy prime minister and finance minister, vice-president of the European Investment Bank, and professor and director of the School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute. He was elected president in March 2024.
He and his wife, Suzanne Innes, have a boy and a girl. ■
