RIYADH, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Saudi Arabia Football Federation confirmed that it has parted ways with the head coach of the national football team Roberto Mancini on Thursday.
The Italian took the position in August 2023, weeks after he resigned as the manager of Azzurri.
However, the 59-year-old only steered Saudi Arabia to a round of 16 finish in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup early this year, and just picked up one win in the World Cup qualifiers after four rounds.
Saudi Arabia will reportedly pay a hefty releasing fee to the Italian. ■
