In October 2021, the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) was held in Kunming, China. As the presiding nation, China successfully led the establishment of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Now, COP16 has commenced in Cali, Colombia, under the theme "Peace with Nature."
