OFIA, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- The 26th edition of the international Sofia Motor Show, the most prestigious automotive event in Bulgaria, kicked off here on Friday.
More than 200 vehicles from some 35 global car brands will be on display at the Inter Expo Center on an exhibition area of 12,000 square meters during the ten-day event, which is included in the calendar of the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA).
Chinese carmakers, including Great Wall Motors, Dongfeng, and Geely, will be among those that will showcase their top technology at the event themed "The Future of Mobility."
According to the organizers, nearly 40 will be pure electric models and more than 100 hybrids, along with the conventional models with internal combustion engines. ■
