FRANKFURT, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- The European Central Bank (ECB) decided on Thursday to lower three key interest rates by 25 basis points, based on its updated assessment of the inflation outlook.
The interest rates on the deposit facility, the main refinancing operations and the marginal lending facility will be decreased to 3.25 percent, 3.4 percent and 3.65 percent respectively, with effect from Oct. 23, according to an announcement on the bank's website. ■
