NEW YORK, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 40 km SSW of Jurm, Afghanistan at 18:56:51 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 203.4 km, was initially determined to be at 36.56 degrees north latitude and 70.59 degrees east longitude. ■
