BEIJING Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with TASS Director General Andrey Kondrashov in Beijing on Friday.
Fu congratulated TASS on its successful hosting of the BRICS Media Summit last month.
Fu said that since the beginning of this year, the pragmatic and friendly cooperation between the two agencies has yielded fruitful results, and personnel exchanges between the two sides have been carried out smoothly.
Xinhua is willing to continue strengthening high-level exchange with TASS, Fu said, calling on the two sides to support each other's major events and strengthen coordination and cooperation under multilateral frameworks.
Kondrashov said he is delighted to be attending the sixth World Media Summit. TASS is willing to continue strengthening practical cooperation with Xinhua News Agency, and to deepen exchange and mutual learning.
The upcoming sixth World Media Summit, themed "Artificial Intelligence and Media Transformation," is being co-hosted by Xinhua News Agency and the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. ■
