HONG KONG, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted Southeast of Easter Island at 00:35:38 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 36.20 degrees south latitude and 99.04 degrees west longitude. ■
