TEHRAN, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Four people, including an official, a military commander, and two conscripts, were killed Tuesday in a "terrorist" shooting attack in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan, state-run IRIB TV reported.

The attack occurred in Bent city, Nik Shahr County, at 9:30 a.m. local time (0600 GMT) after a charity event at a school, Nik Shahr Governor Mojib Hassani told IRIB TV.

The victims were identified as Parviz Kadkhodaei, the Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Bent; Yousef Shirani, head of Bent's Islamic City Council; and conscripts Javad Sadati and Mojib Balouchi, who served with the IRGC, according to Mojib Hassani.

The attack also left two people injured, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.

According to the official news agency IRNA, gunmen in a sedan opened fire on attendees of the charity event.

In another deadly incident in the province's Khash County on Tuesday, two policemen were shot dead by "armed individuals" while in their car, the semi-official Fars new agency reported.

Bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan, Sistan and Baluchestan province has witnessed several terrorist attacks on both civilians and security forces in recent years.

On Sunday, three Iranian security forces were killed and five others injured in five separate attacks by "terrorists" in a number of counties in the province, the IRNA reported.
