NEW YORK, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 jolted 191 km E of Fangale'ounga, Tonga at 20:05:36 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 19.70 degrees south latitude and 172.50 degrees west longitude. ■
