JAKARTA, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia is fully prepared for its Mandalika Circuit on Lombok Island to welcome championship riders who will race in the 15th Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP), set to kick off on Friday, the organizer said on Wednesday.

General Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) Priandhi Satria said in a statement that President Joko Widodo is scheduled to watch the race on Sunday.

"We are 100 percent ready. Now we just need to complete the arrival of the supporting logistics for the race. There are only a few jobs left to complete. We are very grateful that the preparations are going as expected," Satria said.

Mandalika, a special economic zone in the southern part of Lombok, will host the international race from Sept. 27 to 29. The 2.68-mile (about 4.3 km) circuit features 17 corners that showcase various Mandalika tourism spots.

As of Wednesday, a number of world MotoGP riders have arrived in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province, ahead of the race days, including Jorge Martin, Aleix Espargaro, and Miguel Oliveira.

The NTB's Head of Tourism, Jamaluddin Malady, said on Tuesday that the target audience for the 2024 MotoGP is 125,000 people, with VIP and Premium Grand tickets already sold out.

"Hopefully, we can reach the target audience, like we did in the MotoGP last year and two years ago," he said.
