KABUL, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- The military technicians of Afghan air forces have fixed two more helicopters and made them ready for flight, the Ministry of National Defense said in a statement released on Monday.
"Afghan air forces with the collaboration of their technical and professional engineers were able to repair an American UH-60 Black Hawk and an MD-530 helicopter," the statement added.
Technician and engineering teams of Afghan air forces have restored dozens of helicopters since the withdrawal of the U.S.-led forces from Afghanistan in August 2021, it said.
Earlier, technical teams of the ministry have repaired hundreds of pieces of weaponry and military vehicles, including Kalashnikovs, assault rifles, battle tanks, and armored vehicles. ■
