GAZA, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- At least 14 Palestinians were killed and several others injured in Israeli attacks on northern and central Gaza Strip on Friday, the Palestinian official news agency WAFA reported.
WAFA stated that six Palestinians died and numerous others were injured in an Israeli bombing of a house near the Municipal Park in Gaza City, northern Gaza Strip.
Additionally, eight Palestinians were killed and four others injured in an airstrike by Israeli warplanes that targeted a house in the Tel Al-Nuwairi area, west of the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army has not yet commented on these incidents.
Israel has been conducting a large-scale offensive against Hamas in Gaza in response to a Hamas assault along the southern Israeli border on Oct. 7, 2023, which resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths and around 250 hostages taken.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza has exceeded 41,000, with more than 90 percent of the Gazans being displaced. ■
