JERUSALEM/BEIRUT, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- An Israeli airstrike targeted a building in the Jamous area of Dahieh, Beirut's southern suburbs, killing five people, according to the National News Agency.
Local TV channel MTV reported that 10 others were injured. Footage from the scene showed severe damage to buildings and chaos in the densely populated neighborhood.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the attack in a statement released on Friday, adding that "there are no changes in the Home Front Command defensive guidelines." ■
