LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Warner Bros. Pictures' comedy horror film "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" took the top spot at the North American box office for the second weekend in a row with an estimated three-day cume of 51.6 million U.S. dollars, figures from the measurement firm Comscore showed on Sunday.
The film has grossed 188 million dollars in North America after 10 days. Internationally, it took 28.7 million this weekend, bringing its global cume to 264.3 million dollars through Sunday.
Directed by Tim Burton, the sequel to 1988's box office hit "Beetlejuice" stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara reprising their roles alongside new cast members.
In a distant second place, Universal Pictures and Blumhouse's psychological horror film "Speak No Evil," a remake of the 2022 Danish film of the same name, opened with 11.5 million dollars.
Marvel Studios' "Deadpool & Wolverine" rounded out the Top Three with 5.2 million dollars in its eighth weekend, bringing its North American total to 621.5 million dollars. ■
