BEIJING, July 26 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will pay an official visit to China from July 27 to 31.
Born in Rome in January 1977, Meloni served as vice president of Italy's Chamber of Deputies from 2006 to 2008 and Minister of Youth from 2008 to 2011.
In 2012, she co-founded Brothers of Italy (FdI) and became the party's president in 2014.
Meloni became Italy's prime minister in October 2022. ■
