YANGON, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar athletes will compete in badminton and swimming at the Paris Olympics, the state-run media the Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Wednesday.
Thet Htar Thuzar will attend the badminton women's singles competition, while swimmer Bhone Pyae Han will compete in the men's 100m freestyle, the report said.
The Myanmar badminton player, who attended Tokyo 2020, will compete in the Olympics twice in a row, it added.
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be held from July 26 to August 11. The swimming and badminton competitions will begin on July 27, the report said. ■
