VIENTIANE, July 4 (Xinhua) -- The Lao government is making preparations for hosting the 24th ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF-24), providing a platform for knowledge exchange among government officials, academics, industry leaders, investors, and energy experts.
The forum will take place in Lao capital Vientiane from Sept. 25 to 27.
"The forum will not only showcase Laos' advancements in sustainable energy but will also strengthen our collective efforts towards a resilient and interconnected ASEAN energy future," Lao national TV on Thursday quoted Deputy Director General of the Department of Planning and Cooperation under the Lao Ministry of Energy and Mines, Soukvisan Khinsamone, as saying.
Key topics for discussion include the ASEAN power grid, trans-ASEAN gas pipelines, the electric vehicle ecosystem, hydropower potential, bioenergy and hydrogen development, among others. ■
