BEIJING, April 23 (Xinhua) -- A 5.8-magnitude earthquake jolted sea area off Taiwan's Hualien County at 4:49 a.m. Tuesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 23.69 degrees north latitude and 121.58 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, the center said. ■
