JAKARTA, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Rescuers continued the search operation on Tuesday for 10 people missing in a landslide in Indonesia's West Java province on Sunday evening, said local disaster mitigation agency.
In its earlier report issued on Monday, West Bandung Disaster Mitigation Agency said nine villagers had gone missing in the disaster. The agency has revised the total number of missing villagers from nine to 10 as search and rescure operation unfolds.
The agency chief Meidi said that a joint rescue team has expanded its search operations to find the 10 missing locals, including four children.
He also said that more than 400 villagers were temporarily accommodated in the village's hall and schools.
Disasters like floods and landslides often occur in the Southeast Asian country during the rainy season. ■
