TOKYO, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out in a building that was former Japanese Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka's residence in Tokyo on Monday afternoon, local media reported.
The Tokyo Fire Department received a report of the fire just after 3:20 p.m. local time (0620 GMT), public broadcaster NHK said.
The building can be seen burning heavily with smoke rising, and firefighters are currently working to extinguish the blaze, according to NHK footage. ■
