RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Argentine manager Nicolas Larcamon has reached an agreement to take charge of Brazil's Cruzeiro, according to widespread media reports in the South American country.
The 39-year-old will be tied to the Belo Horizonte club until the end of 2025, news outlet Globo Esporte said on Tuesday.
It added that the parties were finalizing "bureaucratic details" ahead of an official announcement later this week.
Larcamon became available after he was sacked by Mexico's Leon last week.
He will replace Paulo Autuori, who occupied the position on an interim basis following the sacking of Ze Ricardo in early November.
Cruzeiro finished 14th in the 20-team Brazilian Serie A standings this year, just four points clear of the relegation zone.
The club is owned by legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo, who purchased a controlling stake in the club in December 2018. ■
