BRUSSELS, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Luxembourg's new coalition government, led by Prime Minister Luc Frieden, was sworn in on Friday.
Frieden's Christian Social People's Party (CSV), the election winner, holds a significant majority with eight ministers, while the Democratic Party (DP) has seven ministers. The composition of the new government was revealed on Nov. 15, five weeks after the legislative elections last month.
The coalition program unveiled earlier included a series of reforms, such as tax reform to improve purchasing power. Measures related to housing, massive investments in renewable energy and sustainable mobility, the establishment of an integrated municipal police force, and digitalization are at the core of priorities of the new coalition government. ■
