SUKOHARJO, Indonesia, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Rice harvest time has come once again for Indonesia's Central Java Province.
Indonesia typically has three rice growing periods or seasons: a single wet-season crop followed by two dry-season crops.
The extreme El Nino phenomenon in Indonesia has disrupted rice production in Southeast Asia's largest economy, which has resorted to imports to secure domestic stocks.
A prolonged drought resulting in lower rice production has also pushed the rice price to soar.
