BOGOTA, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Veteran Brazilian manager Paulo Autuori has taken charge of Atletico Nacional for a second time, the Colombian club said on Monday.
The 66-year-old replaces Hernan Dario Herrera, who parted ways with the two-time Copa Libertadores champions last week amid a poor run of results.
"The coach will be presented on Thursday, October 13, to begin his spell with the club," read a statement on Nacional's official website.
The Medellin-based outfit are currently being managed on an interim basis by Pedro Sarmiento.
Autuori was also Atletico Nacional's manager in 2018 and 2019, a period in which he achieved only moderate success.
Atletico Nacional are currently seventh in Colombia's 20-team top flight standings with 24 points from 15 games. ■
