ADDIS ABABA, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopia foiled multiple terror plots in recent days in the capital, Addis Ababa, an official has said.
Efforts by terrorists to make Addis Ababa a hub for terrorism have been completely foiled, Kebede Desisa, state minister of Ethiopia Government Communications Service, told state media outlets on Thursday.
The thwarted terror plots were planned jointly by internal traitors and external enemies, Desisa said without elaboration.
Earlier July, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed told parliamentarians that dozens of terror suspects had been arrested in recent weeks in the outskirts of Addis Ababa. ■
