SHANGHAI, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai reported one local asymptomatic COVID-19 case between midnight and 5 p.m. Sunday, the municipal health commission said at a press conference.
The infection was detected during community screening work, and the individual has been sent to a designated hospital for medical observation, according to the health commission.
Epidemiological investigations were carried out immediately. As of 4 p.m. Sunday, 99 close contacts and 35 sub-close contacts had been identified for quarantine. ■
