NANJING, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Authorities have inked 53 major investment projects online in a cloud contract signing event Monday in east China's Jiangsu Province.
The projects drew a combined investment of about 13.94 billion U.S. dollars.
The projects were from 14 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Britain, and Japan. Most of them involved fields of advanced manufacturing.
Jiangsu, one of the country's economic powerhouses, saw its actual use of foreign direct investment (FDI) hit a record high in 2021, reaching 28.85 billion dollars, ranking first in the country. ■
