TAIPEI, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan reported 239 new COVID-19 cases, including 87 locally transmitted infections and 152 imported ones, the island's disease monitoring agency said on Thursday, adding that both the local and imported cases were daily highs for the year.
Of the new local infections, the majority have been linked to previously-confirmed clusters, the agency said.
To date, Taiwan has reported 23,393 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 15,869 were local infections. ■
